Pitmedden is a rural village in the parish of Udny, Aberdeenshire. This print shows details of a bedroom within a Farmhouse, this could possibly be the artist’s bedroom or perhaps somewhere he is visiting. The bedroom looks cosy and inviting with its slopped roof, painting on the wall and large feature fireplace. However, the muted colours of grey and brown suggest it might be a cold winter’s day outside.
Purchased with funds from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation as part of scheme to buy prints from Highland artists to place in healthcare venues across Scotland.
