Nicole asks the viewer - "Have you ever felt immense satisfaction while sitting down to meals with family? Do you ever feel like you don't quite fit? Have you ever noticed a particular time of day when the sunlight turns a room in your house? Would you be able to explain that light? Do you have times when the 'Everyday-ness' is disheartening? Are there other times when it fills you up? Do you ever feel unappreciated? Do you ever feel whole? Have you ever felt full of sunshine? Do you ever have an 'every-day' satisfaction whilst sitting down to meal with family? Have you ever eaten cornflakes and coke?"

Having lived in West Germany during the early years of her life, Nicole Bennett studied an Art Foundation course at Dewsbury College of Art before completing a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art. She has since exhibited throughout Scotland and is currently based in Dundee. She has exhibited at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee and has work in a permanent collection at Perth Royal Infirmary.
